We’re Skew Gear—a family-run creative lab of sorts (based in Austin, Texas), where out-of-the-box creativity doesn't just live in our heads, it's our way of life. ‘Skew’ because we believe wonder doesn’t always show up straight on. Sometimes, it takes a shift in perspective—a tilt, a question, a new angle—to truly see the beauty in art, science, history, or anything else that moves us - and inspires the designs we create. We started with a deep love for all things STEM—science, technology, engineering, and math. That was our launchpad. Our family is stitched together by threads of computer science, biomedical engineering, psychology & medicine, and a shared love for asking questions no one else is asking: “What if we turned this into a design?” “What if logic and creativity didn’t have to be opposites?” “What if wonder could be wearable?”

That’s really where it began—with wonder.

You see, the more we explored STEM, the more we realized the thing we loved most wasn’t just the problem-solving or the logic (though we definitely geek out over that). It was the feeling you get when something makes your brain light up—when you understand something deeply, or see something in a way you never had before. That little spark? That’s Wonder.

And that became our ethos: designs that start with Wonder and the genesis of Wonder Wraps^TM.
